The Cambridge exams Introduction Seminar has been developed in order to efficiently introduce school directors and teachers into Cambridge English Examinations and their preparation in combination with the Curriculum “Lehrplan 21”.
The aim of the Introduction Seminar is to provide schools and teachers with the specific know-how necessary to get their students properly prepared for the Cambridge English exams.
Day 1 of the Seminar prepares school directors and teachers who are involved in the introduction of Cambridge English Exam preparation courses at their schools. The aim of this day is to introduce the exams and the value of the certificates for the students and the teachers. The seminar alsogives participants the possibility to ask questions or discuss concerns.
Day 2 of the Seminar is for teachers. This day gives teachers an overview of the Cambridge English Exams such as «First for Schools», «Preliminary for Schools» and «Key for Schools». This one-day seminar contains four units, each running for 90 minutes. Every unit is concerned with onepart of the exam: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. The participants get to know the characteristics of the «For Schools »exams in reference to requirements, tasks, language level and development of skills from A2 to B2. Furthermore, the participants have the opportunity to look into the exam and its individual tasks more closely.
